Middle East University Board of Trustees Honors Dr Ayman AlKhatib for Winning the Hussein Award for Economic Research

Khaberni - The Middle East University Board of Trustees honored the faculty member in the Department of Digital Supply Chains at the Business College, Dr. Ayman Al-Khatib, for winning the Hussein Award for Economic Research in its fourth session for the year 2025, in the category of the best published research in green economics.

Dr. Al-Khatib won for a scientific research titled: The role of organizational ambidexterity and frugal innovation in enhancing circular supply chains: The effect of artificial intelligence capabilities, published in the journal Technological Forecasting and Social Change issued by Elsevier, classified in the Q1 category with an impact factor of 13.3.

The research highlights the role of innovation and artificial intelligence in enhancing circular supply chains and supporting green economy orientations, in line with the goals of sustainable economic development in Jordan.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Khatib published several research papers in prestigious international journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus, and he has been ranked among the top 2% of the most cited scientists globally according to the Stanford Elsevier ranking for the years 2024 and 2025.
