Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality announced the implementation of temporary traffic diversions starting from 8 PM today, along Zahran Street, in the area between the sixth and seventh circles, due to an accident involving a pedestrian bridge above the Suhaib tunnel.
The municipality explained that the traffic diversions include directing traffic coming from the sixth circle right towards Medina Munawara Street, and directing traffic coming from the seventh circle towards Agencies Street, as well as towards the Suhaib tunnel leading to Medina Munawara Street.
The municipality clarified that these measures aim to ensure public safety, and to allow technical teams to inspect the bridge, assess the damage, and carry out the necessary work, confirming that its personnel, in cooperation with the Traffic Department, will manage the traffic movement at the site to reduce congestion.
The Greater Amman Municipality urged drivers to adhere to the traffic signs and warning boards, and to use the available alternative routes, noting that the road will be reopened as soon as the required works are completed.
