Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority announced the apprehension of an illegal drilling rig in Al-Moqar based on information available to the Internal Monitoring Directorate, in coordination with the Public Security Directorate / Preventive Security of Al-Moqar, the Directorate of Water Basins, Drilling, and the Central Workshops Directorate while it was engaged in drilling an illegal well. The specialized technical teams and security forces controlled the drilling rig and detained 3 individuals and filled the illegal well. The rig was seized and held at the Central Workshops Directorate and efforts are ongoing to complete the investigation and transfer the issue to the judicial authorities.
The Water Authority appreciated the significant efforts made by the security forces in the Public Security Directorate, particularly the Preventive Security personnel and all the ranks and officers of the Public Security on their continuous efforts and reaffirmed that its campaign will continue to monitor and remove any violations.
