Khaberni - Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport, Fares Abu Diya confirmed that the government is discussing the file of Jordanian trucks with the Syrian side on Sunday.
Abu Diya said in television statements today, Sunday, that there is ongoing communication between the Jordanian and Syrian sides at all levels and the relationship between them in the transportation sector is excellent, as coordination between the Ministry of Transport and its Syrian counterpart started yesterday.
He explained that the discussions will deepen today to reach details about the procedures followed in land transport, including facilitating the movement of trucks and easing complex logistical operations, and focusing on coordination between customs and transport in both countries, according to the kingdom.
Regarding the congestion of trucks, Abu Diya confirmed that this will be part of the discussions, where the possibility of expanding yards and providing suitable mechanisms for conducting reciprocal transport operations more smoothly will be explored.
