Khaberni - In a surprising step for science content fans, Egyptian content creator Ahmed Elgendy, famously known as "Al Daheeh," announced the end of his namesake program's broadcast on the "Neomedia" platform, after a journey that lasted about five years during which it achieved broad public presence.
The announcement was made through the official page of the program on "Facebook," where the team posted a touching farewell message that reviewed the journey of the program from its inception, affirming that the idea started with an attempt to bring knowledge closer to the audience and turn scientific content into an enjoyable and easy-to-understand experience.
The statement noted that "Al Daheeh" had succeeded in garnering more than 4.7 billion views across various platforms during its broadcasting years, highlighting that each viewing represented a true human interaction with the content and contributed to spreading knowledge in a simple and attractive way.
The program team clarified that "Al Daheeh" was more than just an entertainment or educational show, becoming a part of the daily life of many viewers, who followed it in schools, universities, means of transport, and even during travel and waiting times, pointing out that it had become a daily companion for many.
The team concluded their message by thanking the team members and partners of success, in addition to the "Neomedia" platform that hosted and supported the experience, with a promise of upcoming meetings and new projects in the near future.
"Al Daheeh" is one of the most prominent examples of scientific entertainment content in the Arab world. With its satirical and simplified style, it managed to attract millions of followers and enhance interest in science and knowledge among various segments of the audience.
And this wasn't the first time that the issue of stopping the "Al Daheeh" program had been raised, as Elgendy announced in June 2020, the stop of the program on the platform (AJ+), expressing his gratitude to the producing channel by saying: "Thank you very much for the beautiful and unique experience, and thank you to the fantastic team behind the program".
Also, Elgendy shared with his audience on his official "Twitter" page, a photo of the channel's statement, which announced the stop of the experiment, and the statement issued by the channel read: "Dear followers, our journey together here has ended.. Our production plans, in the difficult current phase the world and media institutions are going through, do not allow us to continue broadcasting 'Al Daheeh' on Khaberni".
