Khaberni - Dror Ami, the former leader of the protection team for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, revealed several scandals associated with the Netanyahu family, notably Yair Netanyahu's assault on his father, leading to his forced deportation to America.
These statements came in a recent interview with the Israeli newspaper Maariv, where the former personal guard who had secured Netanyahu and his wife in the late 1990s and then became one of the leaders of the protests against Netanyahu, revealed secrets that had been kept hidden for many years.
Ami, in a podcast interview conducted by the newspaper, stated, "Yair assaulted his father, the Prime Minister, which necessitated the intervention of the personal security forces to break up the altercation and prevent the situation from worsening," confirming the incident ended with Yair being forcibly sent to the United States.
He clarified that the decision to deport Yair Netanyahu to Miami came as an immediate measure following the incident, considering what happened as inseparable - according to his expression - from "exceptional and unethical familial behaviors involving more than one member of the Netanyahu family."
In February 2025, Yair Netanyahu, the son of the Israeli Prime Minister, filed a lawsuit against Knesset member Nama Lazimi for defamation, after she claimed he was exiled abroad because he beat his father.
"Obsession with theft"
Dror Ami revealed that Sara Netanyahu suffers from a theft obsession, confirming that she would steal gifts and even towels from the hotels they stayed in, in behaviors he described as unethical and revealing a hidden aspect of the personality of the Prime Minister's wife.
Regarding Sara's increasing influence, the former guard explained that it was Netanyahu who initially built this influence, but she gradually gained strength until in recent years she became the center of power, to the extent that she stopped a deal for Netanyahu's plea agreement in his corruption trial "due to her desire to remain in a position of power."
Ami added that Sara believed her son Yair would inherit his father's position, seeing him as the smartest person ever, indicating her political ambitions that extend to the future of the family within the Israeli authority.
About Netanyahu personally, the former head of his guard revealed that he tends to eat in restaurants without paying the bill, referring to an example when he went with a minister to dine at a French restaurant in Jerusalem and then left without settling the account.
He continued that Netanyahu's aides answered the restaurant manager when asked about the bill by telling him "everything will be alright," and that Netanyahu repeated the same act twice in the same restaurant, until one of the guards had to pay the bill out of his own pocket.
Secret meetings with his daughter
In another revealing disclosure, Ami indicated that Netanyahu secretly met with his daughter "Noa," from his first wife, in ways that resembled smuggling so as not to let Sara know, to the extent that they conducted security operations to ensure the secrecy of the meeting.
He added that Netanyahu had cut off contact with his only daughter for years, a development that reveals the nature of the complex family relationships within the Israeli Prime Minister's house, and the influence of his wife Sara on his personal and family decisions.
Netanyahu has been leading the current government since late December 2022, and the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against him on November 21st of the previous year, on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
With American support, Israel began in October 2023 a genocidal war in Gaza that lasted two years and resulted in more than 72,000 Palestinian martyrs and over 171,000 wounded, most of them children and women, and caused destruction in the sector that included 90% of the civilian infrastructure.
