Syria and Saudi Arabia sign a series of agreements including establishing a joint airline

Khaberni - Syria and Saudi Arabia signed a series of agreements on Saturday, including the establishment of a joint airline company, at a ceremony in Damascus, and another that included telecommunications in a country whose infrastructure still suffers from the impacts of 14 years of conflict.

The head of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal Halaly, announced during the signing ceremony five agreements, among them "an agreement to form a Syrian-Saudi economical airline aimed at enhancing regional and international air connectivity and facilitating travel and trade movement," named "Nas Syria" according to the Saudi Investment Minister Khaled Al-Falih.

The two parties also signed an agreement to establish the "Silk Link" project aimed at "developing telecommunications infrastructure and digital connectivity," according to Halaly, with a value of one billion dollars.
