Witkoff and Kushner Visit Lincoln Aircraft Carrier Before New Negotiation Round with Iran

Khaberni  - Steve Witkoff, the head of the American delegation negotiating with Iran, announced that he visited, alongside Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, the US aircraft carrier deployed in the Middle East "USS Abraham Lincoln", in a move -observers see- reflects the synchronization of the diplomatic course with a notable military escalation, ahead of a second anticipated round of talks between Washington and Tehran.

On Saturday, on social media, Witkoff stated that he met, along with the commander of the US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper and Kushner, with the sailors and marines aboard the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln and its strike group, praising what he described as "their role in maintaining the security of the United States and supporting President Trump's message of peace through strength".

This visit follows the decision of the US President to send the aircraft carrier to the Middle East, after his threat of possible military intervention against Iran, amidst escalating tensions between the two sides over complex political and security issues.
