Khaberni - The President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, emphasized the importance of enhancing economic relations between Jordan and Kuwait, noting that although the trade exchange between the two countries reached 176 million dinars in 2024, this figure could increase due to the exceptional relationship that binds the two brotherly countries in various fields.
Al-Jaghbeer added that a Jordanian industrial delegation comprising representatives from 25 Jordanian industrial companies from various sectors will visit Kuwait during the period from February 9 to 11. The delegation will explore commercial partnerships and the establishment of complementary industries through bilateral business meetings to be held with several major commercial centers in Kuwait to meet with their directors and present samples of industrial products.
Al-Jaghbeer pointed out that the trade exchange between the two countries focuses on specific goods. Jordanian exports to Kuwait have focused on animal and plant products, while Jordanian imports from Kuwait have concentrated on petroleum products, derivatives of natural gas and oils, in addition to oxygen gas. He noted that the Kuwaiti market is a promising destination for Jordanian industrial exports with a high demand within the Kuwaiti market, and Jordan possesses significant export opportunities in this market, especially with the presence of the Arab Free Trade Agreement that exempts the Kingdom's exports from customs tariffs.
Al-Jaghbeer praised the cooperation of all entities in the Kingdom in facilitating the procedures for this delegation's visit, led by the Deputy Prime Minister/ Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, as well as the Jordanian Ambassador in Kuwait and the embassy staff, who played a major role in arranging the bilateral business meetings for the Jordanian industrial delegation with their Kuwaiti business counterparts.
Al-Jaghbeer clarified that this visit comes after previous successful visits organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry for Jordanian industrial delegations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman. These visits included bilateral business meetings with businessmen in these countries, and plans are underway to organize future visits for industrial delegations to many brotherly and friendly countries as part of the Amman Chamber of Industry's strategy to enhance the presence of Jordanian industrial products in target markets.
