Khaberni - French media confirmed that the chapters of the legal dispute between Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain continue, in a financial case that still casts its shadows on the strained relationship between the two parties since the player left the club.
According to L'Equipe newspaper, Mbappe has filed an official legal complaint demanding payment of overdue financial entitlements that have not yet been paid.
The newspaper explained: "The French judiciary had issued at the end of December (December) 2025 a ruling obliging Paris Saint-Germain to pay approximately 55 million euros to Mbappe, representing salaries, bonuses, and additional moral incentives, as well as paid leave that was not disbursed on time. The judgment also included an additional amount of approximately 5.9 million euros, related to the paid leave plus interest on delays."
It continued: "According to the updates, Paris Saint-Germain has indeed paid the majority of the adjudicated amount, having paid 55 million euros including the salaries for the months of April, May, and June 2024, alongside signing bonuses, moral bonuses, and associated leave, in a step that partially alleviated the severity of the dispute."
It added: "However, an amount close to 5.9 million euros remains unpaid, which prompted Mbappe to reactivate legal proceedings by sending a new legal complaint demanding this amount, which represents the remaining paid leave and the interest due on it."
The newspaper reported that the payment order gave the management of Paris Saint-Germain a legal deadline of eight days to settle the remaining amount, and if not complied with, Mbappe's lawyers are entitled to request a direct seizure on the club’s funds or its bank accounts, potentially opening the door for a new legal escalation in one of the most complex cases in the history of the relationship between a club and its former player.
