Khaberni - On Friday, from King Abdullah II Air Base, the Jordanian Congo/2 Vertical Aircraft Unit headed for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to undertake its duties within the international peacekeeping forces.
The Director of Air Operations confirmed that the unit has completed all the requirements for preparation and technical and operational qualification, and possesses a high level of readiness to execute the tasks assigned to it in the theater of operations. These tasks include air support, operational transport, medical evacuation, and logistical support, in accordance with the rules of engagement and the instructions of the United Nations mission.
Meanwhile, the Jordanian Congo/1 Vertical Aircraft Unit returned to the homeland on Saturday after completing the period of participation and efficiently and competently performing the duties assigned to it.
The participation of the Jordanian Armed Forces in international peacekeeping missions embodies their firm commitment to support international efforts aimed at enhancing global security and stability, reflecting the professional level and advanced capabilities of its members.
