The Seventh Station After Madrid Rodriguez to American Minnesota

Khaberni -   James Rodriguez, the captain of the Colombian national team, signed with Minnesota United in America on Friday, becoming the seventh team he has played for since his departure from Real Madrid in 2020, continuing the career of the former World Cup top scorer in soccer.

The club, competing in the American Professional League, announced that the 34-year-old midfielder has signed a legally binding contract valid until June 2026, with an option to extend the contract until December of the current year.

Rodriguez will occupy a spot among the foreign players in the team pending his medical examination and obtaining his visa.

The club's sporting director, Khalid Al-Ahmad, said in a statement, "There is no doubt that James is a player who possesses quality, vision, and experience at the highest levels of the game. We are excited to add his creativity and football intelligence to our group."

"At the same time, this move is about collective strength—not solely relying on one player."
