The 25-year-old rapper, amidst congratulations from his friends, said: "I have changed my name and pronounced the Shahada, I am now Muslim."

Central Cee was born on June 4, 1998, in London to an English mother and a Guyanese and Chinese father, experiencing his parents' separation at the age of seven.

He grew up with his mother and younger brother in Shepherd's Bush, West London.
