Khaberni - The President of the Economic and Social Council denied the existence of any recommendation by the council to raise the monthly deduction rate for social security subscribers.
Shattioui said in his speech for the "Sixty Minutes" program on Jordanian TV today, Friday, that the results of the social dialogue about the actuarial study of the Social Security Corporation did not result in any recommendations to either increase or decrease the monthly subscription rate.
He explained that the current rate is already considered high and was not addressed by the social dialogue with trade union, party activities, experts, and specialized study centers.
He pointed out that everyone was keen in their recommendations to preserve the institution as it is the official institution for social protection in Jordan, noting that most recommendations which did not have great consensus or full agreement were not adopted.
