Khaberni - The office of the French President, Emmanuel Macron, said that his country and Bahrain have signed a bilateral defense agreement that includes the exchange of strategic information.
The office added "This agreement will open new horizons for industrial cooperation in the field of defense."
It continued, stating that the agreement "will enhance the solidarity between our two countries amid escalating global and regional geopolitical tensions," according to what Reuters reported.
A few days ago, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received a written message from the French President, Emmanuel Macron, concerning the longstanding historical relations and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation areas between the two friendly countries.
The message was delivered to the Bahraini side by Eric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Bahraini monarch affirmed the depth of the exceptional partnership relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the French Republic, and the continuous aspiration to support and develop them in all areas that serve mutual interests, according to what Bahraini newspapers reported.
He also praised the efforts of the French President and his constant determination to strengthen the robust ties of friendship, and to develop various aspects of cooperation and constructive joint action with the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the active role of France, and its contributions with the international community in preserving security and stability and promoting regional and global peace.
