Major Feature Coming to Gemini Will Transform It into a Personal Travel Guide

Khaberni - Google will soon enable users to attach an area on the map in their requests to its smart assistant "Gemini", transforming it into a user's personal travel guide.

This feature will be an expansion of one of Gemini's current major features, its conversational ability, and users can ask questions in natural language or imperfect commands, where Gemini strives to deliver a result.

Google built on this feature by allowing users to attach all types of files and media to "Gemini" for better, more customized answers, and now the company is working on adding a feature to attach areas on the map, according to a report reviewed by "Alarabiya Business" from "Android Authority," a site specializing in technology news.

Version 17.4.66 of the Google app was spotted, with code indicating a new map option in "Gemini." Currently, the map button is greyed out and inactive.

From the texts and context surrounding the map button, it is clear that users will likely soon be able to attach "an area on the map" to their Gemini requests, just as they would attach an image or document.

Currently, if users want "Gemini" to search a specific area, they must name it, such as: "search for cafes in New York City."

But with this upcoming option, users will be able to visually select an area on the map and attach it to the request, giving them more control over the search boundaries and reducing the need for vague or inaccurate descriptions.
