Chicken prices soar in Jordanian markets before Ramadan

Khaberni - Poultry prices in Jordan have experienced a significant rise as the blessed month of Ramadan approaches, with the price per kilogram reaching 130 piasters in the markets, despite repeated promises from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply to regulate prices and intensify monitoring of traders and suppliers.

Market observers expect these increases to continue to one and a half dinars or higher in the coming days and weeks, amid the failure of official regulatory measures to control prices.

Citizens expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the sharp rise in prices after a short period of decline, raising widespread concerns about the exploitation of the increasing demand for chicken, which remains a staple on the Jordanian tables during the holy month.
