Khaberni - Mohamed Al-Dweiri, spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport, confirmed that today Jordanian export trucks headed towards the Republic of Turkey and Greece successfully entered through the Bab al-Hawa - Çilvegözü Turkish crossing, as a result of ongoing efforts and direct joint coordination between the Jordanian Ministry of Transport and the Turkish Ministry of Transport, after addressing all the relevant customs and procedural obstacles.
Al-Dweiri stated in a press statement that three Jordanian trucks entered Turkish territory this afternoon in a trial step, and the process was conducted smoothly and in accordance with the approved procedures, reflecting the level of technical and administrative cooperation between the two sides, and contributing to facilitating the movement of land freight on this vital route.
He added that the entry of the trucks was direct and facilitated through the crossing, in a promising step that paves the way for more batches of trucks in the coming period, and enhances the fluidity of transport and trade exchange.
He noted that the Ministry of Transport is directly following up on the matter with the concerned Turkish authorities to ensure the continuity of the movement’s flow and regular use of the crossing, and to address any operational observations immediately in a way that serves Jordanian carriers and enhances the flow of goods.
