The occupying forces imposed a siege around the city of Jerusalem, through military and iron barriers erected around the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and were heavily deployed in the streets and neighborhoods of the city, according to Palestinian media.
The occupying forces detained dozens of worshippers, particularly young men, checked their identities, and prevented others from reaching Al-Aqsa to perform the Friday prayer.
