Safadi Our Priorities are to Look Forward to Implementing Trumps Peace Plan

Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi stated that Jordan's priorities are focused on looking forward to implementing US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, which contributes to achieving stability in the Gaza Strip.

During a press conference held on Friday in the Slovenian capital to discuss efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, Safadi added that Jordan appreciates the role Slovenia is playing in delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through the European Union, noting that Slovenia has been a partner in the efforts to stop the war on the sector.

Safadi affirmed that the priority in the current phase is to establish the ceasefire and ensure the delivery of relief aids to the people of Gaza without obstacles, amidst the challenging humanitarian conditions.

Safadi emphasized the importance of reaching a comprehensive political solution, which includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, in a way that achieves security and stability in the region.

Safadi pointed out that it is impossible to ignore what is happening in the West Bank and the risks arising from settlement expansion and property confiscation, adding “we strive for peace and take all necessary legal measures to stop settlement in the West Bank.”
