Washington demands its nationals to leave Iran immediately

Khaberni - The virtual U.S. Embassy in Iran issued today, Friday, a security warning calling on American citizens to immediately leave Iran and prepare exit plans that do not rely on any U.S. government assistance.

This warning comes ahead of scheduled talks between the United States and Iran in Oman, amid limited signs of both parties reaching common ground concerning the agenda of the meeting, according to the American news channel "CNBC".

Direct meeting
These talks are considered the first formal meeting between Tehran and Washington since tensions escalated in June last year, when a 12-day war erupted with Israel, followed by the United States conducting airstrikes that severely damaged three main Iranian nuclear facilities.

However, disagreements over the scope of the talks and the location where they are conducted have cast doubt on the prospects for a diplomatic breakthrough, with the possibility of U.S. military action remaining.

According to reports, Washington has demanded that Iran relinquish its stockpile of enriched uranium, impose restrictions on its ballistic missile program, and stop its support and arming of armed groups in the Middle East. President Trump has threatened military strikes against Iran if it refuses these demands.

In response, Tehran rejected these terms, considering them an unacceptable violation of its sovereignty, and threatened to retaliate against any attacks by targeting U.S. forces in the region and Israel.

Diplomatic movements are underway amid escalating military tensions, as the United States has strengthened its military presence in the region in recent weeks. Trump announced the deployment of what he described as a "huge fleet," led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln ahead of the talks.

Weak chance
Bob McNally, president of "Rapidan Energy," said that the chances of reaching an agreement or de-escalation are "very weak," noting that the demands of both parties are "very far apart, in the absence of trust."

McNally estimates a 75% likelihood of military confrontation between the United States and Iran in the coming days or weeks, anticipating scenarios that include a naval blockade similar to Venezuela, limited strikes, or even a widespread military conflict.
