Khaberni - An Israeli official confirmed on Thursday that the Israeli Security Council held an emergency session before the expected talks between Iran and the United States.
The news site (Ynet) reported that the meeting, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday, was moved forward.
According to Iranian sources, the talks with the United States will start in the Omani capital of Muscat tomorrow, Friday.
Tehran said it intends to restrict the talks to only its nuclear program, while Washington wants to include Iran’s missile program, human rights violations, and its support for anti-Israel militant groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis on the agenda.
Israeli media outlets reported that the government does not expect the talks to be successful.
However, Ynet has expressed Israeli concerns that US President Donald Trump might offer some concessions to reach a limited agreement on curtailing Iran's nuclear program.
