Khaberni - The Asian Football Confederation selected Jordanian international referee Sabreen Al-Abbadi to take part in managing the competitions of the 2026 Asian Cup for Women, hosted by Australia during the period from March 1 to 21, 2026.
Al-Abbadi was chosen after undergoing a series of intensive technical and physical tests over the past period, as part of the evaluation programs accredited by the Asian Football Confederation, to determine her readiness to participate in this major continental event.
This selection marks the first of its kind in the history of Jordanian refereeing, involving a Jordanian referee in managing the finals competitions of the Asian Cup for Women, reflecting the growing confidence in Jordanian refereeing capabilities, along with the good reputation that Jordanian referees enjoy at regional, continental, and international levels.
