Khaberni - The chief Ukrainian negotiator, Rostom Omrov, announced on Thursday that a new round of talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States will be held "in the coming weeks," following "constructive" negotiations in Abu Dhabi that resulted in a prisoner exchange.
Omrov said via the (Telegram) app, "The delegations agreed to inform their capitals and continue the trilateral talks in the coming weeks," noting that the negotiations focused especially on "mechanisms for implementing a ceasefire."
The Russian negotiator, Kirill Dmitriev, told the media, "There is no doubt progress, things are moving in the right direction," while also condemning what he considered European attempts "to obstruct the process" aimed at ending the war ongoing in Ukraine for nearly 4 years.
