Khaberni - Mazen Al-Qadi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and his accompanying delegation met with ambassadors and heads of Arab diplomatic missions in Vietnam, in the presence of the Jordanian ambassador to Singapore and non-resident in Vietnam, Saed Al-Radaideh.
During the meeting, Al-Qadi stressed the importance of the parliamentary visit, which came three months after His Majesty King Abdullah II’s state visit to Vietnam, pointing out that the Palestinian cause was the basis of the political dialogue with Vietnam, due to its supportive stance on the two-state solution.
He stated that Jordan and Vietnam's desire to develop bilateral relations at all levels will also be a cornerstone for supporting Arab-Vietnamese relations.
On their part, the ambassadors and heads of Arab diplomatic missions in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi, said that the visit of the parliamentary delegation to Vietnam aims to enhance friendship and cooperation relations between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The ambassadors listened to a presentation by Al-Qadi assessing the visit and the positive outcomes it achieved at various levels.
The ambassadors and heads of the Arab diplomatic missions residing in Vietnam expressed their appreciation for the meetings held by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the parliamentary delegation with the Vietnamese leadership, which were fruitful.
They affirmed the importance of the visit, following King Abdullah II’s visit to expand areas of partnership and cooperation between the two countries, and his successful visit to Vietnam at the end of 2025.
They praised the supportive stances for the State of Palestine expressed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives during his discussions, confirming that developing Jordanian-Vietnamese relations would enhance Arab relations with Vietnam, and contribute to supporting the Palestinian cause, which is a priority in Jordan’s foreign policy.
In another context, Al-Qadi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the accompanying parliamentary delegation laid a wreath at the mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, and at the monument to the martyrs.
Al-Qadi visited the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and listened to an explanation about the long history of Vietnam.
Al-Qadi and the parliamentary delegation also visited the Vietnam Military History Museum, where they listened to a presentation by representatives of the Vietnam Military History Museum about the early days of state-building and defending national independence.
The parliamentary visit, led by Mazen Al-Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, comes at a time when relations between Jordan and Vietnam are experiencing strong and extensive developments, following a royal visit made by His Majesty King Abdullah II at the end of 2025.
It is worth mentioning that diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Jordan have been established since 1980, and the visit represents the first exchange of delegations between the leaders of the legislative bodies of the two countries.
