Khaberni - The President of Petra University, Professor Dr. Rami Abdul Rahim, announced the readiness of the clinical training for dental college students, and the beginning of patient reception during the second semester in the dental clinics building, confirming the completion of the infrastructure and equipping the building with the latest global equipment to provide advanced therapeutic services.
This was stated during his meeting at the Dental College with academic and administrative staff, in the presence of the vice president of the university, Professor Dr. Miyas Al Rimawi, and His Excellency Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mois, and the dean of the Dental College, Professor Dr. Firas Al Sleihat.
Abdul Rahim indicated that the cost of constructing and equipping the building exceeded twelve million Jordanian dinars, explaining that the project aims to provide a practical training environment for students, and to offer distinguished treatment services to the local community, enhancing the professional sustainability of the college. He also congratulated the joining of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mois to Petra University, asserting that his expertise would bring a qualitative addition to the college and university's journey.
The President emphasized the importance of integration between the academic and operational sides, to ensure the efficiency of workflow and the quality of the services provided.
In turn, His Excellency Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mois explained that the medical center will provide healthcare services to the community, and support scientific research and clinical training, to be a leading center on both the local and regional levels. He added that the college’s vision is based on preparing qualified students through contemporary academic programs, intensive clinical training, and integrating modern and digital technologies in the educational process.
Meanwhile, the vice president of the university, Professor Dr. Miyas Al Rimawi, called for focusing on the quality of student outcomes, to graduate distinguished competencies capable of competing, confirming that the scientific and practical efficiency of the graduates represents the real reputation of the college.
The dean of the Dental College, Professor Dr. Firas Al Sleihat, praised the ongoing support from the university presidency, and the provision of all necessary requirements to enhance the quality of education and scientific research, and to elevate the level of training and health services provided.
