Jordan Removal of a derelict building on the verge of collapse in Irbid

Khaberni -  Today, Thursday, the Greater Irbid Municipality removed an old, derelict building in the Manara area west of Irbid, which poses a health hazard and a threat to public safety.

The spokesperson for the municipality, Gaith Al-Tal, stated that the municipality's staff carried out the removal in agreement with the property owners, after a field inspection revealed that the building, located near one of the public schools, poses a danger to public safety and to neighbors and passersby due to its dilapidation and the possibility of collapse, in addition to its environmental and health negatives.

He added that the municipality continues to identify and remove derelict and structurally unsound buildings within legal procedures, as they cause health nuisances, become hubs for waste and insects accumulation, and pose structural risks, calling on citizens to cooperate with the municipality and report any similar sites to preserve public safety and the environment.
