Khaberni - Social media users shared a video clip showing a delivery worker being asked to deliver food to a cemetery late at night, which sparked a wave of controversy around the incident.
The video shows the worker calling the customer to inform her of his arrival at the location, to which she quietly responds: "Okay, walk straight ahead.. there is a dog sitting on the side, do not worry", and after the worker took a few steps and looked ahead, he suddenly stopped saying: "A cemetery?! Madam, the place is completely dark, I will not enter".
The woman replied without hesitation: "Yes, just come to the gate and deliver the order", but later clarified that she was celebrating with her friends inside the cemetery, which led the worker to wonder: "Do people really order food deliveries to cemeteries?", according to "NDTV".
Despite the woman's provocative attempts and her accusations of the worker being afraid of ghosts, he refused to enter, emphasizing that it was not about fear, but about the inappropriateness and danger of the place at night, asking her to receive the order at the gate or to cancel it, affirming that he would not complete the delivery.
Reactions
Responses were divided between those who supported the worker's decision, considering it a responsible act to protect himself, and those who found the woman's request strange and alarming, describing her behavior as "odd and disturbing". The video also sparked discussions about respecting personal boundaries, worker comfort, and the unexpected situations delivery employees face.
One user wrote: "People often forget that the delivery worker is human, not a robot, expecting him to enter the cemetery to deliver food is unrealistic, his refusal was to preserve his safety and mental comfort and deserves respect".
Most users speculated that the video was staged or faked to gain followers and likes, while others thought it might just be a prank or an experiment to stir controversy.
