Khaberni - The American President Donald Trump said on Wednesday evening that the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, should feel concerned, in reference to the escalating tensions related to the Iranian file.
At a time when U.S. and Iranian officials are expected to hold talks, two American officials told "Axios" that the United States informed Iran on Wednesday that it will not agree to Tehran's demands to change the location and format of the scheduled talks on Friday.
"Axios" quoted the American officials that this disagreement could impede the diplomatic path and might prompt President Donald Trump to prefer the military option.
According to "Axios," the United States and Iran had agreed to hold the talks on Friday in Istanbul, with participation from other Middle Eastern countries as observers.
However, the Iranians said on Tuesday that they want to move the talks to the Sultanate of Oman and hold them in a bilateral format, to ensure they focus solely on the nuclear issue, without other issues like missiles, which are a priority for the United States and countries in the region.
The report added that the American officials discussed the request to change the location, but decided on Wednesday to reject it.
