Khaberni - The Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, chaired by Dhafi Al-Sarayreh, decided a number of academic decisions related to granting Jordanian accreditation certificates and placing qualifications in the national framework.
According to a Wednesday statement, the council decided to grant the specialty, Bachelor in Emergency and Rescue, a Jordanian accreditation certificate for 3 years at the University of Science and Technology, and Biomedical Systems Engineering, a Jordanian accreditation certificate for 4 years, and Biomedical Information Engineering, Plant Protection, a Jordanian accreditation certificate for 4 years at Yarmouk University.
The council approved the placement of qualifications, Bachelor in Horticulture and Crops, Animal Production, Agricultural Economics and Business Management, Land, Water and Environment, Site Coordination and Flower Production, in the national frameworks for qualifications (level seven) at The University of Jordan.
The decisions included approving the placement of a qualification in Islamic Studies for the bachelor's program at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University within level seven of the national framework for qualifications, as well as approving the placement of a qualification in History for the bachelor's program at the same university within level seven, in addition to placing a qualification in Life Sciences for the bachelor's program within level seven of the national framework for qualifications.
The council approved the placement of an Accounting qualification for the master's program at Yarmouk University within level nine of the national framework for qualifications, and the placement of a qualification in Business Law for the master's program at the same university within level nine.
The Accreditation Council also decided on the preliminary special accreditation for a Cosmetology specialty for the bachelor's program at the Applied Science Private University, and approved the special accreditation for the Pharmaceutical Sciences program for the joint PhD program between Zarqa University and the University of Aberdeen, and approved the preliminary special accreditation for the Games and Animation specialty for the intermediate diploma (international program) at the Arab Community College for Technology.
The council also approved the professional standard for technicians of standalone photovoltaic solar energy systems at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The council also approved the renewal of accreditation for training programs at academies, including the New Care Academy for Engineering Consulting and Training, Specialist Supervisor in Occupational Safety and Health Professional 1, Ser Man Ra'aa Academy for Beauty Arts and Vocational Education, Women’s Hairdresser/ Skilled Hair Stylist, and approved the accreditation of training curricula for a group of professions funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in cooperation with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, including the curriculum for a Fabric and Leather Cutter, Production Planning and Control Technician, Multiskilled Tailor, Quality Assurance Technician, Production Supervisor, and CAD Technician.
It also approved the accreditation of training curricula for a group of professions funded by German International Cooperation (GIZ) in collaboration with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, including a Baker, Mold Maintenance Technician, Injection Machine Operator, Embroidery Machine Operator, and Quality Assurance curriculum.
