AlHunaity Military Cooperation with Egypt as a Model for Joint Action

Khaberni - The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Al-Hunaity, received on Wednesday, at the General Command of the Armed Forces of Jordan – the Arab Army, the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Fathy Khaleefa, and the accompanying military delegation.

Official military reception ceremonies were held for the guest, during which an honor guard lined up to salute him.

The meeting discussed the aspects of joint military cooperation and coordination, mechanisms for its development to comply with strategic changes, as well as enhancing the level of integration between the armed forces of the two brotherly countries, discussing a number of issues of mutual interest, and developments on the regional and international scenes, and their implications on the security and stability of the region.

The two sides listened to military briefings on training, operational, and logistical programs, paths of development and modernization within the Jordanian Armed Forces, as well as future plans aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of joint exercises, specialized courses, and capacity building, to achieve the highest degrees of efficiency and professionalism.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff reaffirmed that the Jordanian-Egyptian relations are based on solid foundations of brotherhood and ongoing coordination, highlighting that the military cooperation between the two sides stands as a model for joint action, embodying the determination of both countries' leadership to unify efforts to face challenges and enhance regional security and stability systems.

Major General Al-Hunaity also emphasized the importance of continuing to build upon the achievements of quality military partnerships and expanding areas of cooperation in fields of training, qualification, and exchange of expertise, contributing to enhancing operational readiness and developing defense capabilities, in line with the requirements of the strategic environment.

On his part, Lieutenant General Khaleefa appreciated the advanced level achieved by the Jordanian Armed Forces, praising their pivotal role in supporting peace and security in the region, and their high professional competence, affirming the continued coordination, intensification of cooperation, and exchange of expertise, serving the mutual interests of the two brotherly countries.

The meeting was attended by the Egyptian Ambassador and Defense Attaché in Amman, and a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
