Jordan hosts a round of talks between the Yemeni government and the Houthis

Khaberni - The Jordanian capital, Amman, is hosting on Thursday, a round of talks between the Yemeni government and the Houthis regarding the prisoners and detainees held by both sides.

Majed Fadhail, a spokesperson for the Yemeni government’s negotiating delegation for detainees and prisoners, announced that the delegation will travel to Jordan on Thursday to hold a direct negotiation round with the Houthis to complete the exchange of lists and agree on the names and implement what was agreed upon in the previous negotiation round (Muscat2).

The negotiating delegation confirmed that it is working with a spirit of responsibility and national diligence to release all detainees without discrimination.

Abdul Qader Al-Mortada, head of the Houthi group's committee for prisoner affairs, stated a few days ago that the implementation of the prisoner exchange deal, which was scheduled to begin on January 27, was impeded, claiming that the delay was due to the final lists of names not being settled yet, and that the matter "requires more time to finalize," he said.
