Former British Prince Andrew leaves his home after Epstein files emerge

Khaberni - A British royal source confirmed on Wednesday that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, brother of King Charles, left his luxurious home after shocking new information emerged concerning his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

The Sun newspaper reported that the former royal (65 years old) had hoped to stay longer at Royal Lodge, where he has been living for decades in Windsor, but he was moved under the cover of night on Monday to a cottage in Sandringham, a property owned by the king in Norfolk.

A royal source confirmed that Andrew is now staying in Sandringham but he may occasionally return to Windsor in the coming weeks until the transition phase is completed.

The Sun quoted one of his friends as saying, "With the latest batch of Epstein files emerging, it became clear to him that it was time to leave."

The source added, "His departure was so humiliating for him that he preferred to leave under cover of darkness."

Charles stripped his brother Andrew of his titles in October and said he would be relocated after details of his relationship with Epstein emerged.

The king expressed his sympathy for the victims of the assault.

The U.S. Department of Justice released new files related to Epstein on Friday, including emails indicating that Andrew remained in regular contact with Epstein for more than two years after Epstein was convicted of sex crimes against children.

Andrew denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein, and he previously denied that their relationship continued after Epstein's conviction in 2008, except for a visit to New York in 2010 to end their relationship.
