Syrian delegation briefed on the experience of the Integrity and AntiCorruption Commission

Khaberni - Mohannad Hijazi, the President of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, received on Wednesday a delegation from the Syrian Central Authority for Inspection and Control, led by the head of the Authority, Amer Al Ali; to learn about the commission's experience in combating corruption and promoting the values and culture of integrity.

Hijazi stated that this meeting aims to exchange and transfer knowledge between the two sides and to enhance the foundations and frameworks of joint cooperation between them, emphasizing that Jordan is very open towards Syria, and that the partnership between the two bodies is an embodiment of the vision of both countries' leadership.

He expressed his hope that this visit would enhance cooperation in various fields, training, qualification, exchange of expertise, and frame the cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, Al Ali appreciated Jordan's efforts, leadership, government, and people in supporting Syria, noting that this visit comes in the context of enhancing cooperation in the areas of transparency and combating corruption and benefiting from Jordan's leading experience in this field, in addition to transferring expertise.

The head of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit at the Central Bank, Samia Abusharif, presented the unit's experience and its powers in collecting information and evaluating and analyzing the financial and non-financial situation and coordinating the implementation of public policy in the field of combating the crime of money laundering and terrorist financing in accordance with the vision of the National Committee for Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.

The delegation included the deputy head of the Authority, Ahmed Al-Shlash, the director of the Higher Institute for Inspection and Control, Ali Suleiman, the director of International Cooperation, Mohammad Al-Atwi, the director of Training and Rehabilitation, Zakaria Bolus, the director of Government Relations and Communications, Hisham Al-Khatib, and the director of Informatics, Tariq Al-Ghosh.

The meeting was attended by members of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission and several directors of the directorates who presented the working mechanism of their directorates and the nature of their work.
