Khaberni - In an effort by Arab Amman University to enhance innovation and academic excellence and its dedication to developing practical skills among its students, pharmacy students showcased their outstanding scientific production projects that reflect their ability to transform theoretical knowledge into practical and evaluable pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, under the supervision of Dr. Nisibeh Al-Qutaish, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy.
Pharmacy students presented their production projects within the course "Pharmaceutical Practice (2)", where the first group, consisting of students: Haneen Asaad, and Majd Al-Akash, presented their project in the form of a refreshing and cleansing skin solution made from floral water, noted for its soothing and refreshing benefits for the skin, helping to reduce irritation and redness, purify pores, and restore the natural pH balance of the skin. This preparation is easy to prepare and relies on safe natural ingredients suitable for all skin types, while the second group, which included students: Ayah Al-Amouri, Ayah Al-Sharif, and Yara Atweh, presented a natural product based on Moroccan Nile plant (Moroccan Indigo – Indigofera tinctoria), known for its ability to deeply moisturize, lighten pigmentation, and even out skin tone, along with its soothing and nourishing properties, emphasizing the benefits of using natural botanical ingredients.
Meanwhile, the third group consisting of students: Batoul Jabr, Faten Ades, and Heba Al-Balbisi, presented a natural exfoliant made from ground rice and natural oils which works to remove dead skin cells, stimulate cell renewal, and improve skin texture safely, being naturally low in irritants, easy to prepare, with the possibility of modifying the formulation to suit different skin types, while the fourth group consisting of students: Rousan Al-Zawahreh, Amer Nawafleh, and Musa Abu Anzeh, prepared a daily moisturizer for the skin based on glycerin and natural oils to maintain skin moisture and prevent dryness, providing a protective layer that helps to improve skin elasticity, and the project presentation included detailed explanations of the formulations, preparation steps, and mechanism of action of each product.
These projects reflect the commitment of pharmacy students at Arab Amman University to select effective materials and integrate them scientifically to provide integrated products in terms of effectiveness and quality. Samples of some of the products were distributed to attendees to assess their quality and effectiveness, as a clear demonstration of the academic and practical excellence the College of Pharmacy aims to achieve, by enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in the preparation of real products with medical and commercial value, thereby enhancing their job market readiness and encouraging them to innovate and conduct scientific research.
