Khaberni - Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Wadyan, President of Amman Arab University, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a ceremony honoring the graduates of the first cohort of the Master's program in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs, attended by Professor Dr. Ismail Yamin, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Professor Dr. Rana Abu Howayj, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, along with members of the faculty and administrative staff, and a gathering of the graduates' families.
On this occasion, Dr. Al-Wadyan expressed his pride and appreciation for the graduates as the first cohort of the Master's program, considering their achievement as a crowning of their academic efforts and a milestone in the journey of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the university. He commended the academic achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the distinguished efforts made by the faculty and administrative staff in making this specialized program a success. He confirmed Amman Arab University's commitment to preparing qualified pharmaceutical personnel who possess scientific knowledge and specialized skills, capable of effectively contributing to enhancing drug safety and developing the regulatory work system in the healthcare sector, wishing the graduates continued excellence and success in their scientific and professional careers.
Dr. Abu Howayj expressed her pride in this distinguished group of graduates, affirming that the graduation of the first cohort from the program marks a pivotal milestone in the academic journey of the Faculty of Pharmacy, reflecting the success of its vision in introducing quality programs that meet local, regional, and international job market requirements. She noted that the Master's program in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs was designed based on advanced scientific principles to prepare qualified pharmaceutical personnel with professional competence and the ability to lead the pharmaceutical sector according to the highest international standards. She referred to the program as providing a comprehensive educational experience that combines academic knowledge with practical application, through specialized training, and offers the opportunity to obtain globally recognised professional certificates such as the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate, in addition to opening broad prospects in the fields of research, development, and clinical trials. The program also contributes to enhancing partnerships with the health sector, allowing students to work on real field research projects concerned with analyzing the side effects of drugs, evaluating their safety, and offering innovative, sustainable solutions that ensure the safe and effective use of drugs.
The ceremony witnessed the honoring of the graduates of the first cohort of the Master's in Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs, including: Pharmacists Islam Al-Halman, Abeer Taqi Al-Din, and Noura Sharaf, where commemorative shields and symbolic gifts were presented to them, amidst a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the pride and appreciation of Amman Arab University for these promising national talents.
