Arab Omani Pharmacy Participates in Suar AlHussein Volunteer Forum

Khaberni - Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, and to affirm the leadership role of Arab Omani University in supporting humanitarian and community initiatives and instilling the culture of volunteer work among the youth, the Faculty of Pharmacy participated in the volunteer forum of the "Suar Al-Hussein" program.

 

Representing Arab Omani University at the forum was Dr. Majdouline Al-Alawneh, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, who interacted directly with volunteers and encouraged them to continue their humanitarian mission. She also attended a ceremony to honor volunteers in recognition of their outstanding efforts in supporting cancer patients. Dr. Al-Alawneh pointed out that the participation of the College of Pharmacy is part of the university's commitment to transfer the experience of the program to its students and to motivate them to engage in national initiatives that promote values of giving, community responsibility, and humanitarian work. She noted that the "Suar Al-Hussein" program aims to empower young male and female volunteers to provide psychological and moral support to cancer patients, and to reinforce values of solidarity and mutual support in the society. Through its participation in this forum, Arab Omani University reaffirms its commitment to its mission of preparing a generation aware of its humanitarian role, committed to serving the community, and actively participating in supporting national and humanitarian causes.

 

"Suar Al-Hussein for Volunteering" is a volunteer program at the King Hussein Cancer Foundation that provides individuals with opportunities to volunteer their time and effort to support the fight against cancer. The name of the program symbolizes the bracelet that unites individuals within a cohesive ring to support our noble mission.
