After a widespread uproar over their suspicious movements The truth about zombie tourists in the Egyptian city of Dahab

Khaberni - A widespread uproar and accusations of "deadly drug" abuse caused a state of security alert in the city of Dahab, Egypt, in recent hours, after a "bizarre" video showing a group of foreign tourists in unusual conditions in the "Lighthouse" area swept social media platforms, resulting in a wave of panic and inquiries.

The video clips showed foreigners moving in what was described as a "suspicious manner," with some of them lying on the ground and covering their bodies with sand, while others performed slow, curved body movements.

Social media users quickly linked these scenes to what is known as the "Fentanyl Fold" or "Zombie Fold," a terrifying physical condition affecting drug addicts, prompting many to demand immediate intervention to protect the city from these phenomena.

Security move
On its part, a joint force of the Tourism Police and the City Council of Dahab mobilized to comb the beaches and vital areas as soon as the clip was circulated.

Despite not finding the individuals shown in the video at the time of inspection, technical investigations and field research revealed the full truth behind this "mystery".

Yoga, not drugs
The Ministry of Interior ended the debate with a decisive statement, revealing that the video had nothing to do with narcotics, near or far.

Upon examination, it was found that the tourists were practicing a type of "yoga" and meditation exercises, which include special rituals for connecting with nature through rolling in the sand and using expressive movements to calm the nerves.

The investigations revealed the "hero" of the real story; a student residing in Cairo, who filmed the scene with his mobile phone while passing by coincidentally in the area, and instead of conveying the truth, decided to exploit the scene to stir controversy under false claims that they were "addicts," in order to increase the number of views and interactions "trend" on his personal page.

The accused was arrested, the used phone was seized, and upon confrontation, he confessed to his crime in pursuit of false fame, and he was referred to the public prosecution on charges of spreading false news and causing confusion.
