Real Madrid in the transfer market Exorbitant expenses and disappointing results

Khaberni -  Real Madrid has just concluded a notably quiet winter transfer period, and for good reason, as this has been the approach for many years.

The "Royal" club spent 890 million euros between the summer and winter transfer periods to strengthen its squad, displaying a clear contrast between investment and results achieved to date.

Onze Mondial confirmed that the team faces discrepancies in transfer windows between summer and winter, noting that the club spent 850 million in the June and January dealings.

Real Madrid lost all the titles it competed for last season, meaning it ended with a "zero" season, putting the club's management, players, and technical staff under pressure.

The fluctuating results accelerated the departure of Italian Carlo Ancelotti and afterward, Xabi Alonso from the "hot seat," despite the signings, especially in defense.

Three significant signings made a lot of headlines in Spanish and international media, most notably the low-cost transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool to the Real Madrid stronghold Santiago Bernabéu.

The standout name in Real Madrid's transfer market was Dean Huysen, arriving from Bournemouth for 59 million euros.

The third signing came from Benfica, involving left-back Alvaro Carreras who signed with the "Merengue" until 2031, for 50 million euros.

According to Onze Mondial, the Spanish giant adopted a policy of distancing itself from the winter window, which it considers unproductive for signing significant players.

Its activity in the winter transfer period was limited to just one deal, the signing of Brahim Diaz in January 2019 for only 17 million euros. This huge difference embodies the strict strategy followed by the Madrid club.

This policy has become an integral part of the identity of the White House. According to the newspaper "As", despite the many offers received by the club during the past winter transfer period, the management held its stance: "This is not our market." The club believes that the economic and sporting conditions in January do not justify any deals.

Even after the heavy defeat against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League, no reinforcements were signed to support the team.
