Khaberni - The Al-Fahad Foundation issued a statement revealing the latest health updates for Kuwaiti artist Hayat Al-Fahad, confirming that she is currently under close medical observation in one of the intensive care units in Kuwait, after her treatment trip in London did not yield the desired results.
The statement published by the foundation on the official page of the Kuwaiti artist noted that the treatment trip did not achieve the desired results due to the severity of the stroke. Based on medical reports, it was decided to continue her treatment in Kuwait, where she remains under medical care in intensive care, and according to the recommendations of the medical team, receiving visitors is currently prohibited.
The artist - who is 77 years old - had a health crisis last August, which resulted in her being hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
In previous statements to Al Jazeera Net, her business manager Yousef Al-Ghaith explained that the Kuwaiti artist had undergone a catheterization procedure a few weeks before, but her subsequent stroke affected her health, confirming that her vital functions were not impacted, and she was subsequently admitted to intensive care.
The family of Hayat Al-Fahad had announced her stroke through her official account on the Instagram platform, which raised concerns among her fans inside and outside Kuwait, and sparked a wave of solidarity and sympathy from her colleagues in the artistic community and her fans, who prayed for her speedy recovery, including Khaled Abdullah Al-Muzaffar, producer and artist Basem Abdul Amir, actress Zahra Arafat, and actress Shaima Ali. Consequently, the name of the artist, nicknamed the "Lady of the Gulf Screen," topped the search engines.
Through an artistic career spanning more than six decades, from her start in the 1960s to the present, Hayat Al-Fahad has established herself as one of the prominent stars of Gulf art, through diverse roles that helped shape the features of Kuwaiti and Gulf drama alike.
Among her most notable drama works are "Grandma Lulwa" and "Ghanima and Ghnim," "Ink of the Eyes," "Hessa's Pen," and "Mother Harun." In 2023, she presented "Coolness of Your Eyes," and participated in the Ramadan season of 2025 with the series "My Mother's Ideas," which is among her latest dramatic contributions.
