Khaberni - American journalist Tucker Carlson stated that the beauty of Jordan was the first thing that caught his attention during his recent visit to the kingdom, expressing his admiration for the picturesque natural landscapes and the notable development in vegetation compared to his previous visits.
Carlson explained in a statement on the sidelines of his visit to the kingdom, that he had visited Jordan before, but noticed this time that the trees seemed greener and more abundant than he remembered, suggesting that this might be related to the rainfall or the allocation of more water resources to plants, affirming that Jordan looks "amazing" and that he was astounded by its beauty while traveling across different regions of the kingdom.
He expressed his admiration for his trip to the site of Jesus Christ's baptism on the Jordan River, describing it as astonishing, saying he enjoyed seeing the churches, and admired Jordan's attention to Christian churches and granting them large tracts of land, considering it a very important message.
In his discussion about the Wadi Rum, Carlson described it as the quietest place he has visited in his life, noting that he enjoyed the silence and tranquility, waking up early, sitting outside, and drinking coffee amid an atmosphere of complete calm, confirming that Wadi Rum is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and that he says this confidently having visited many sites around the world.
Regarding the city of Petra, Carlson said it was his second visit to the city after about 10 years, explaining that he had visited it previously during July, and advised anyone from the West wishing to visit the area to come in February instead of July, emphasizing that Petra is one of the most spectacular places in the world.
Carlson expressed skepticism that Petra was carved using ancient bronze carving tools, saying that he does not believe contemporary sculptors could create something similar, suggesting that the people who carved the city may have possessed techniques we do not fully understand yet.
He added that Petra becomes more magnificent when one realizes the reason everything was built in its place and in direct harmony with the skies and celestial truths, expressing his gratitude for being hosted, and affirming that he stands in front of a Christian monastery in Jordan, which he described as a country where the majority of the population follows Islam.
Carlson noted that he is amazed by the beauty of Jordan and the attention the government has devoted to restoring the area on the banks of the Jordan River, caring for it and beautifying it.
