The Return Album A New Documentary About BTS on Netflix

Khaberni - Netflix has announced the screening date of a new documentary film about BTS, covering the behind-the-scenes preparations for the ARIRANG album and details of the anticipated live concert.

The new documentary titled BTS: THE RETURN, will be released on March 27, 2026, just one week after BTS launches its new album ARIRANG, along with documenting the band's first live concert in front of its audience after a period of absence.

Netflix is preparing to present the exclusive documentary that marks the beginning of a new phase in BTS's journey, by documenting the behind-the-scenes preparations for the ARIRANG album, and the details of the band members' interactions while working in Los Angeles, before officially returning to Korea and meeting the audience.

The work also discusses the difficulties faced by the band members during the stages of writing and recording the album, within a realistic presentation of an artistic experience that brought many organizational and creative challenges.

The film does not just show footage from inside the studios, but also discusses the concepts of starting anew and continuing on an artistic path that requires continuous effort, offering content that goes beyond the traditional musical framework, focusing on the idea of commitment to continuation despite challenges.

Before the screening of the documentary film, BTS is scheduled to perform a live artistic concert at the historic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, on March 21, 2026, with the concert being broadcast live via the Netflix platform to viewers around the world.

THE RETURN does not only document a new appearance by BTS, but also discusses concepts of passion, perseverance, and new beginnings, in a work that captures a different phase of the band's ongoing artistic experience.
