Police reports in Medan, North Sumatra, indicate that the perpetrator was inspired by details of the crime from the popular game "Roblox," specifically the "Murder Mystery" mode, as well as by the animated series "Detective Conan."
The crime occurred in the early dawn hours, when the girl woke up before her mother, Faiza Suraya, who was 42 years old.
The girl headed to the kitchen and took a large knife used for cutting meat, then removed her clothes to avoid getting blood on them, in a deliberate attempt to avoid staining her clothes with blood and ensuring no evidence could incriminate her, a method that mimics hiding techniques shown in games and crime stories.
The girl delivered the first stab to her mother's neck while she was asleep, but the victim woke up and tried to resist her daughter and pleaded for her to stop, even asking her for a glass of water and to call an ambulance.
The girl continued delivering stabs, totaling 26, while her older sister (16 years old) sought help from their father, who was on the upper floor, but the mother succumbed to her injuries before medical help arrived.
Psychological evaluations and security investigations revealed that the girl lived in a family environment characterized by violence, with reports indicating that the children were constantly beaten and threatened with a knife by the mother, according to the website "News".
Criminal expert "Irna Minauli" confirmed that the girl's influence from video games mixed with the psychological pressures from harsh treatment led her to commit this rare crime, carried out by a girl at such a young age and characterized by excessive violence.
