Khaberni - The Ministry of Social Development stated that it responded immediately, on Tuesday, to the collapse of two roofs of two houses occupied by two families in Mafraq governorate, where the staff of the Development Directorate of the governorate began onsite mobilization and assessing the situation of the families while taking the necessary interventions.
The ministry confirmed that under the direct supervision of the Minister of Social Development, Wafa Bani Mustafa, the cases of the two families were handled, shelter was provided for them, and emergency aid was offered.
It added that the two families were evacuated and two alternative residences were secured for them in coordination with a charity association, in addition to providing emergency relief and humanitarian assistance to ensure their safety and meet their basic needs.
The ministry clarified that the two families were not previously beneficiaries of the Dignified Families Housing Program, and they were directed to complete the necessary procedures and submit official applications to benefit from the program, in order to assess their cases according to the approved criteria.
The ministry affirmed its continued follow-up on the situation of the two families and handling of urgent humanitarian cases as part of its role in providing social protection.
