Khaberni - As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance its international academic partnerships and expand the scope of cooperation with prestigious global universities, the Jordan University of Science and Technology has signed two academic agreements with Oakland University in the USA, aimed at supporting academic and student exchange, and providing quality educational opportunities that contribute to the development of academic and cultural expertise for the university's students.
Under the first agreement, the Semester Abroad Program (The American Semester Abroad Program – ASAP) was launched, allowing university students to enroll at Oakland University for one semester or two, with the possibility of counting the credits earned during the undergraduate phase as part of the requirements for master's programs later. The program aims to support the academic journey of students and enable them to have a comprehensive international educational experience.
The second agreement is an Articulation Agreement, which concerns the organization of student transfers between the two universities and the completion of their studies according to approved academic foundations and standards, contributing to enhancing the quality of academic programs and providing flexible educational pathways that meet the aspirations and future needs of students.
The President of the University, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Salem, confirmed that the signing of these agreements aligns with the university's strategy to enhance international academic cooperation, increase the competitiveness of its graduates, and provide distinguished educational opportunities for its students, reflecting the university's vision of openness to global educational institutions and the exchange of scientific and academic expertise.
Al-Salem added that these academic partnerships represent an important step towards expanding the horizons of knowledge and experience for students, enabling them to benefit from globally advanced educational systems, noting that the university is continuing to sign quality agreements with prestigious international institutions, which contributes to the development of its academic programs, enhances students' skills, and supports the university's presence on the international educational scene.
