Two sources The Sudanese army lifted the siege on the main city in the south of the country

Khaberni - Two Sudanese military sources said on Tuesday that the Sudanese army had lifted the siege imposed by the Rapid Support Forces on Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan state.

One of the sources, requesting anonymity, said "Our forces have entered the city of Kadugli, and the siege there has been lifted."

Kadugli, which has been afflicted by famine, had been under a siege laid by the Rapid Support Forces and their local allies who have been waging a fierce war with the Sudanese army since April 2023.
