Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Court of Appeals, chaired by Counselor Abdullah Al-Othman, upheld the Criminal Court's ruling to execute the killer of traveler Hani Al-Musawi.
The representative of the victim's heirs, lawyer Hassan Al-Musawi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Kuwaiti community for their widespread sympathy with the victim's family, and their condemnation of the brutal crime that led to Hani Al-Musawi's death.
Al-Musawi stated that the endorsement of the execution sentence for the perpetrator is an important step in the pursuit of justice, emphasizing that the case touched the conscience of the entire community due to its cruelty and brutality.
He added, “We were all pained by the inhumane crime that the deceased suffered from, which left a deep impact on the souls of his relatives and the community's conscience; an impact that will not be erased.” He explained that the defense team for the heirs followed the proceedings of the investigation and trial over the past period with full responsibility and confidence in the law, in the context of transparent procedures, and respect for the rights of all parties, including the accused.
Al-Musawi continued, saying: “While we value this judgment and see it as a deserved vindication for the deceased’s spirit and his family, we realize that no matter how complete, justice will not bring back Hani's smile to his grieving mother, who witnessed his last moments as he lay bloodied in her arms.”
