Khaberni - In his first response to the accusation directed at him by a woman who accused him of harassing her in a hotel, the official page of the artist Mahmoud Hegazi published on the social media site "Facebook" a post on the story feature stating: The noble verse "But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners", Al-Anfal 30. It confirms that however great the plotting and deceit of humans to harm the believers or to nullify the truth, it is met by the superior management of Allah which nullifies it and turns it into a benefit", referring to the malicious intent of the complaint submitted by the woman who accused him of harassing her in one of the hotels, leading to his detention for 24 hours, after the security forces arrested him based on the report.
Mahmoud Hegazi arrested on charges of harassment of a woman
The detectives in the Cairo Security Directorate had arrested Mahmoud Hegazi, after a woman filed a complaint accusing him of harassing her inside one of the major hotels in Cairo.
The investigative authorities ordered an intensification of the investigations to uncover the circumstances of the incident, and to verify its authenticity, and necessary legal measures were taken.
The prosecution asked the security forces for speedy investigations, and summoned the complainant for questioning about the incident, also ordered the collection of cameras around the incident hotel, extracting them, preparing a report on them, and examining the smartphone of the accused to check for any conversations between him and the complainant.
The prosecution also ordered the examination of the surveillance cameras inside the hotel to determine the truth of the incident, in addition to examining the guest data within the hotel.
Recently, Mahmoud Hegazi's wife has accused him of beating and dragging her, in an official statement issued against him during the past few days, and stated during her testimony in the statement: "My husband assaulted me in front of the neighbors and my mother, with insults and offensive terms, causing me severe injuries to my body."
