Khaberni - The journalist specializing in judicial affairs, Ghazi Al-Marayat, recounted the case of a young man sentenced to temporary forced labor for 3 years for the felony of indecency because of his engagement in immoral acts with a girl under the age of 18.
In the details of the case as recounted by Al-Marayat, a girl under the age of 18 sends a friend request to someone on social media, and the young man accepts the request and starts messaging back and forth with her, eventually leading to a romantic relationship.
After some time in their relationship, the young man arranges to meet the girl in a deserted place where he engages in immoral acts that constitute all the elements of the felony of indecency.
Al-Marayat said that the girl's family filed a complaint against the young man after learning about their meeting, adding that family protection units arrested the young man.
Al-Marayat mentioned that the public prosecutor at the major criminal court decided to detain the young man for 15 days pending investigation and charged him with the felony of indecency without violence or coercion, since the acts were consensual.
Al-Marayat confirmed that the major criminal court convicted the young man of the felony of indecency and sentenced him to temporary forced labor for 3 years.
