Dangers of Laughing Gas

Khaberni - Dr. Vasily Shurov, a psychology specialist, points out that any case of poisoning disrupts the brain's control and behavior centers.
He says: "The use of laughing gas (also known as nitrous oxide, or Ibiza air) leads to an acute lack of oxygen in the brain. Then, the person feels euphoria, joy, and loss of self-control".

According to him, some people may lose consciousness under the influence of this gas and may suffer injuries as a result of falling.
He says: "Misuse of laughing gas can lead to mental dullness, as it alters the level of consciousness, impairs the ability to control, and may cause traffic accidents".

According to him, the effects of laughing gas last as long as it is inhaled.

He says: "Just a minute or two later, oxygen reaches the brain, making the person feel the need for more. Therefore, some may turn to other substances with a stronger effect".

Studies have shown that laughing gas (nitrous oxide) can be an effective means of rapidly alleviating severe depression. However, scientists warn that long-term use of this gas should be under close monitoring, as its misuse can lead to B12 vitamin deficiency and neurological disorders.
